JK Buwan brokenhearted

Few days after announcing his separation with model-turned-beauty queen Maureen Wroblewitz, a video of singer Juan Karlos “JK” Labajo performing his hit song Buwan with different lyrics went viral, breaking thousands of hearts online.

In the Facebook group APPPPC (Official), member Jonathan Dela Cruz uploaded a the video taken from JK’s recent gig where he changed some of the lyrics of his song.

“Ako’y sa’yo, ika’y ‘di akin. Ganda mo pa rin sa paningin. Ako ngayo’y nag-iisa, umaasang ako’y tabihan na,” he sang the first part of the song that was labeled by fans as “Buwan – Brokenhearted Version”.

On Friday, June 10, sadness poured in different social media platforms as longtime celebrity couple JK and Maureen announced their separation. On Facebook, Juan Karlos posted a picture of him with Maureen, along with a bittersweet message that broke the hearts of their supporters.

“Magka-ibigan na ngayo’y matalik na magkaibigan. Lagi mong tandaan na kahit pagbaliktarin mo man ang mundo, kahit saang lupalop man ng kalawakan, ikaw pa rin ang nag-iisa kong buwan. Maraming salamat, mahal kita, at hanggang sa muli,” he wrote in the caption, reminding fans on the music video of his hit song Buwan, which starred him and Maureen in 2018.

Meanwhile on Instagram, Maureen posted a quote saying, “Life is not happening to you. Life is happening for you.” Then, added the caption, “Some things come to an end and that’s okay. But now it’s time for us to grow on our own.”

Juan Karlos commented on the post, saying he sees himself as the “luckiest person in the world” for getting the chance to spent the past years with Maureen.

“I am the luckiest person in the world to have spent the past years of my life with you and I wouldn’t choose anybody else to have spend those years with. You’ve taught me so much and I have learned, I am learning, and I will learn more,” he expressed.

“We are both so young and we have to enjoy ourselves. I want to see you succeed. I love seeing you achieve your dreams. You will. We will. Here’s to growth and love for ourselves. For there is no greater love than self-love. Dankëschon, Ich liebe dich and auf wiedersehen,” continued.
