Muling maghahatid ng sigla sa musikang Pilipino si Kuh Ledesma, ang tinaguriang OPM’s Pop Chanteuse, sa kaniyang upcoming concert na “I Love OPM #angNatatangingGetaway” na nakatakdang maganap sa darating na Setyembre 30 [updated] sa Hacienda Isabella sa Indang, Cavite.
Kasama niya sa nasabing concert ang veteran singer na si Marco Sison at ang kontrobersyal na anak ni Ka Freddie Aguilar na si Maegan Aguilar!
Batay sa YT video ng zoom interview kay Kuh na ibinahagi ng StarsPhotog Vidz, tinutulungan ni Kuh si Maegan sa pamamagitan ng pagbibigay ng pagkakataon dito na muling makapagtanghal at maipamalas ang talento sa kabila ng mga pagsubok na pinagdadaanan nito.
Mensahe ni Kuh sa publiko, “I would like to ask the people to give Maegan a chance. She’s the kind of person who has been through so much.”
Bagama’t nalihis umano ng landas ang 44-anyos na anak ni Ka Freddie, handa na umano itong muling bumangon. Aniya, “So nalihis siya ng landas. But I believe she’s good enough that she’s willing to change, and very much so, I believe that God is on her side, especially kung tutulungan natin siya. Mas ma-i-inspire natin siya to continue her artistry.”
Dagdag pa nito, “Isa pa naman siyang compositor. Sayang! Maraming mga composers and artists na nagkakaproblema sa drugs and some of them have died kasi walang tumulong sa kanila. I wish that I was already a Christian when my other very close friend na musikero rin got into drugs. A musician I know was into drugs before when another close friend of mine helped this person. He was able to bounce back.”
Patungkol pa rin kay Maegan, sinabi rin niya na isinama niya ito dahil sa bago nitong komposisyon.
“I put her in the show because she wanted to share a new composition called ‘Ama.’ Ang ganda ng kanta. It’s my way of encouraging her kasi parang nasa sanctuary lang siya at yun lang ang ginagawa niya,” aniya pa.
Samantala, ibinahagi rin ni Maegan ang kanyang kaligayahan sa pagkakatong ibinigay ni Kuh sa kanya. Sa isang Facebook post kamakailan kalakip ang concert poster, aniya, “I will be releasing a new original single for this much awaited concert. Thank you Lord Jesus, for giving me this opportunity. Amen.”
Marami ang nagpahayag ng suporta kay Maegan sa bagong yugto ng kanyang journey.
UPDATE RE SCHEDULE: Nitong ika-21 ng gabi ay nag-post ng pagbabago sa concert date dahil sa gaya ng marami ay dinapuan rin ng flu si Kuh.
