Celebrating the World Music Day tomorrow, June 21, Johnnie Walker, one of the world’s top scotch whisky brands, is raising a toast to progress in music through its cultural partners The Walkers, and Idol Philippines Season 1 Judge James Reid is taking the lead in inspiring progress among Filipino artists as he brings OPM (Original Pinoy Music) to the world.

Being part of the global community of Walkers, singer-songwriter and producer James is now leading the way in taking OPM to the world stage. His releases this year alone had a more global push through collaborations with international artists, as well as songs that will be produced abroad, and internationally known Filipino superstars will definitely be born.

And as cultural changemakers, The Walkers represent the latest chapter of Johnnie Walker’s famous Keep Walking campaign. To celebrate World Music Day, the scotch whisky brand partnered up with the media multihyphenate to create Johnnie California Highball—tagged as the “perfect drink to enjoy while listening to James’ new single California Lovin’“.

“Hints of apple and citrus meet the signature smoke of a Johnnie Walker Black Label in this custom highball, creating a taste that instantly transports you to the bright, warm summers of California. This perfectly balanced drink with afternotes of vanilla, completes the California Lovin’ experience,” it was described.

The world first experienced California Lovin’ last May 26, with a performance video release of the song on the Press Play platform of The Grammy’s.

On June 30, the song will be available on all major streaming platforms.
