Hilary to Aaron: You had a charm that was absolutely effervescent…boy did my teenage self love you deeply.

As family members confirmed the passing of popular I’m All About You singer Aaron Carter, Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter’s brother, fans went down the memory lane as they looked back on the artist’s glory days a couple of decades ago.

In different social media platforms, messages of love, prayers, and throwbacks poured as they recalled how Aaron, who was found dead inside his bathtub at 34, and his music made an impact on their lives.

But apart from the fans, his ex-girlfriend Hilary Duff also penned a tear-jerking note following his passing.

“For Aaron-I’m deeply sorry that life was so hard for you and that you had to struggle in front of the whole world. You had a charm that was absolutely effervescent…boy did my teenage self love you deeply. Sending love to your family at this time. Rest easy,” she expressed.

Meanwhile, the singer-turned-rapper’s former fiancée Melanie Martin also expressed how hard it is to lose the father of her son.

“My fiancé Aaron Carter has passed away. I love Aaron with all my heart and it’s going to be a journey to raise a son without a father. Please respect the privacy of my family as we come to terms with the loss of someone we love greatly. We are still in the process of accepting this unfortunate reality. Your thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated,” she told TMZ.
