When the Rubik’s Cube was invented in 1974 by Hungarian architecture professor Ernõ Rubik, his main goal was to provide a cool learning experience to students about three-dimensional spaces. When it became a worldwide craze in the 1980s, it was seen as a mind-blowing puzzle—exactly the reason why it remains popular up to this day. But for a Filipino artist and Rubik’s Cube collector, these are not mere toys but perfect tools for creating realistic mosaic portraits.

Known by his followers as My Alter Ego, this Rubik’s Cube mosaic artist has been making rounds online for passionately using Rubik’s Cube in making portraits of ordinary people, celebrities, vloggers, religious images, and anyone who inspires him to create art.

“I am not a speed cuber but collecting and solving different kinds and sizes of Rubik’s Cube is my strong passion,” he shared.

As of writing, My Alter Ego already has over 16,000 followers on YouTube and has been getting thousands of reactions and views on different social media platforms.

He regularly uploads new videos every Wednesday and Saturday at 9 p.m. (Philippine time), but also conducts special premieres whenever he has extra time or as per his client’s request.

To support or collaborate with this talented Filipino art creator, one may reach out to him through his YouTube, Facebook, and TikTok accounts.

“For business collaborations, artworks, and designs, please message me on my social media accounts. To God be all the glory,” he expressed.
