From the moment she gave birth to her son, actress-politician Angelica Jones opted not to seek any form of support from her child’s father. But now, as his graduation day approaches, she has no choice but to ask for his help.

In an interview after the media conference of the film When Magic Hurts, Angelica appealed to her former beau to acknowledge their 11-year-old son and sign the latter’s birth certificate, which is one of his graduation requirements.

Doon nakasalalay future ng anak ko for high school and college kasi mataas pangarap ng anak ko,” Angelica, fondly called Miss Flawless in the early 2000s, disclosed, as quoted by ABS-CBN News.

Wala siya binibigay na suporta,” she went on.

Angelica shared how she has been struggling to get her ex-boyfriend’s signature for their son as he does not want the child to use his last name, “Ayaw pagamit apelyido, hindi maka-graduate [‘yong bata].

Humahagulgol siya,” the actress revealed. “Ang gusto ng anak ko makilala siya, umiyak siya last night, sabi niya, ‘10 years ‘di ako kinilala ng tatay ko. Anak ba talaga ako? Totoong anak ng tatay ko?’ Ang sakit, ‘di ba?”

She said it was the most painful moment for her as a mom, so far.

And mas magdasal. God is close to the broken hearted mga in-abandon na bata at mga bata na ‘di kinikilala.”
