The businessman, financial expert, book author, and motivational speaker Chinkee Tan has posted a public apology in connection with a previous social media post he shared regarding their supposed trip to Israel.

Tan shared that he deeply regrets his previous post where he expressed insensitivity regarding the cancellation of their trip to Israel. He also expressed gratitude to those who called his attention and apologized for what may have seemed as a thoughtless response.

“I am truly sorry for any hurt or offense I caused to those affected by my words. I take full responsibility for my mistake and acknowledge that it was wrong. I would like to pray for peace for everyone affected by conflicts, in Israel, in Palestine, and the rest of the world,” he added.

His previous post (which he immediately removed after realizing that he had indeed been remiss on his narrative amid the tension in Israel) did not sit well with many netizens and was described as ‘insensitive’ and ‘inappropriate’.

Apparently, together with some people, Tan was scheduled to go to Israel to visit the Holy Land. But because of the attacks that took place in their country of destination, their flight did not push through; hence, they were spared.

“Imagine, if war broke out when we were there,” he added. He went on to share about “God’s timing and goodness even when things don’t make sense.”

But many were quick to call his attention for being insensitive and that it was an appropriate post as there were many casualties in the attacks that happened there; some of them were even Filipinos.

Tan’s sincere apology received positive feedbacks from IG followers. Apparently his focus had been on their side of the line and the  bigger picture had somehow slipped his mind. Well, don’t we all make mistakes at some points in our life? His humility was acknowledged.

I know what you meant when you posted it – but it’s still good to humbly accept your mistake in posting very sensitive issues. Praying for Israel. Praying for Palestine. Praying for world PEACE 🕊️🙏🏻

We all fall short and most of the time unintentionally. it’s humility in admitting to our mistakes that is hard to find. You are a good example. keep on inspiring us!

Ok, Chinkee. This is a good apology post. What matters is that we are aware of our actions, and we take responsibility for it. You are a humble and honorable man.

You are a real gentlemen and a good Christian. Admitting you were wrong and apologizing in Public makes you more loved and blessed.

I didn’t mind because I know it wasn’t your intention to offend anyone and I salute you for being humble in sending apology right away.

Tao lang din nagkakamali din. You are Forgiven. 😊 God Bless Always 🙏

Tan expressed his gratitude to those who accepted his apology.  “Thank you for the kind words. I’m committed to learning and growing from this experience.”

Yes, Sir, you truly are a good man.
